Food Composition Software Purpose

Unitrition is a consumer software application (SaaS) designed for food composition calculation, macronutrient analysis, and meal building. Unitrition computes objective food chemistry metrics sourced from public nutritional databases. The platform does not provide individual dietary consultations, medical advice, clinical diagnoses, or therapeutic treatment plans.

1. Software Classification: Consumer Analytics Tool

Unitrition operates strictly as a digital consumer software tool for food chemistry computation and personal dietary self-monitoring. Our subscription tiers provide software-level capabilities: interactive plate building, vector data graphing, standardized data export (CSV, JSON, PNG), and unrestricted queries across open public nutritional databases.

2. Scientific Repositories & Chemical Composition Data

All macronutrient, micronutrient, and available carbohydrate metrics are derived directly from publicly accessible scientific datasets, including USDA FoodData Central, ANSES CIQUAL (France), and Open Food Facts. Calculations strictly adhere to European food labeling standards (EU Regulation 1169/2011), wherein declared carbohydrates represent available carbohydrates without erroneous double-deduction of dietary fiber.

3. Mathematical Modeling & Biological Individuality

Glycemic curves and nutritional absorption projections presented in the software are theoretical mathematical simulations derived from food macronutrient ratios and published glycemic index literature. Actual individual physiological responses naturally vary based on gut microbiome composition, physical activity, sleep quality, circadian timing, and whole-meal matrices.

4. Independent Professional Guidance

Unitrition is an objective food chemistry software calculator, not a consultation or healthcare service. The platform does not prescribe personal diets, weight-loss programs, or therapeutic treatments. We encourage all users to consult with a licensed physician or registered dietitian before modifying dietary routines or managing health conditions.
